3 Days Blue City: Jodhpur & Osian Desert Safari

Overview

This is the trip we run out of our own front door. Jodhpur's old city glows blue at the foot of Mehrangarh Fort, one of India's largest and best-preserved forts, and we pair a guided walk through the fort and the blue-washed lanes below it with a half-day drive out to Osian, a small desert town ringed by ancient Hindu and Jain temples. From there you head into the Thar Desert by camel for a sunset ride and an overnight stay at a desert camp under a genuinely dark sky, before returning to Jodhpur for a final morning at the spice and textile markets.
